I had a cataract removed fron left eye in April 09 - am wearing a toric lens in my left eye now - just found out that the office I went to approved the wrong presription when I ordered them on line - can wearing the wrong contact (power) cause damage to my sight? power should have been 0.0 and they approved -1.50.

Dear Patricia,
Not really. long term use makes your muscles kind of get used to seeing through a more powerful prescription.
However, it would have been difficult to bear it as it should have given some eye strain.
